Ninth generation 1993-1998: NissanSkyline (R33)
The ninth generation Skyline was introduced in 1993, with the body moving towards a more symmetrical design, and there are still two models available: the Coupe and Sedan. However, the increase in body and wheelbase also leads to an increase in vehicle weight.
The R33 Skyline GT-R was introduced in 1995. It still uses the RB26DETT engine, and the original factory still stated that its maximum horsepower is 276 hp, but the actual output is definitely higher than the R32. The Nismo department has also launched a high-performance version of the 400R, equipped with a 2.8-liter twin turbocharged inline six cylinder engine codenamed RB-X GT2, with a horsepower output of 395 hp (400ps), but only 44 vehicles have been produced. Nissan's Autech department also produced four GT-Rs for the first time, but production was very limited to only 447 units.
